New Standard Chinese comprises six textbooks in three levels with CDs. The textbooks are compiled by the professors from Beijing Language University, and suitable for high school, university students or adults.
Elementary level mainly teaches vocabulary and grammar of HSK level 1-3. Pinyin is introduced to help the beginners have a good command of tones and rules of pronunciation of Chinese phonetics.
